Statement Regarding Sabeel Project

At Sabeel, we are committed to fostering a spirit of unity, inclusivity, and understanding within our community. As we move forward with our plans to build a Youth Center, a state of the art School, and a mosque, we do so with a deep respect for the rich cultural heritage and history of Beechville (originally called Beech Hill) and all of Nova Scotia.

Our vision is one of collaboration. We believe that a vibrant, diverse society is built through mutual respect, dialogue, and partnerships that benefit everyone. Our goal is to create a welcoming space that not only serves the needs of the Muslim community but also enhances the broader community in meaningful ways.

We understand that Beechville has a long and proud history, and we are committed to honoring that legacy. Our project is designed with the utmost consideration for the cultural and historical significance of the area. We aim to work closely with local leaders, historians, and residents to ensure that our center reflects and respects the unique identity of Beechville while contributing positively to the future of this dynamic community.

We invite open dialogue and welcome constructive feedback as we continue this journey. We believe that together, we can build a future that respects the past while fostering a spirit of inclusion, cooperation, and shared prosperity for all.
